FMM

Hello Everyone. New member and first time poster here. Does anyone have current and accurate information on the FMM? Is it really 6 months per calender year? Or could one leave on day 180 and return a few days later? Similar to Costa Rica where the stay limit is 90 days and leave for 3 days then return? I'm concerned because I plan a countrywide trip and don't want to over stay. Anyone with info please resond.
Thanks

Rolly

Is it really 6 months per calender year? No, it is not. That's a myth.

Or could one leave on day 180 and return a few days later? Exactly right. Often the time out of country is 0.

Hello Maxine,

If I can be so bold as to suggest . . . . buy Rolly's book. It will give most of yur answers for you. It will also provide for some good reading along the way. I wish I had been able to buy it (wasn't published yet) I would have saved myself a lot of time and trouble. There have been a few changes now but Rolly will be happy to assist you on those.
