Trying to get bus schedule information before you arrive in Mexico is generally an exercise in frustration. You could spend many hours and still miss most of the possible departures. Everybody wants the security of full knowledge before they arrive in Mexico, but Mexico does not work that way.
The good news is that you are not arriving late in the evening. I would guess a 99% probability of getting on a bus to PV before 9 PM. There is the remote possibility that all the buses will be full, but that only happens on holidays. You might want to check the Mexico holiday schedule.
As far as picking a bus line, figure that you get what you pay for. Walk around the bus station and look at schedules and pricing. There may be a bus line on that route that you have never heard of.
You can waste a lot of time in the bus station waiting for the "ideal" bus, or do what the Mexicans do, get on the next bus to your destination. Yes, you don't want a second class bus, but the differences between first class buses are generally not large.
