Rain fade effects depend on: what equipment you have (dish size & quality and LNB quality), how it is installed, and where you live relative to Dish Network's signal coverage (map), and it depends heavily on which satellite your dish is pointed at, (plus it helps to have a clear line of sight between the dish and the satellite). A smaller lower-quality dish, with a lower-quality LNB, aimed at a weaker satellite will suffer a lot more rain fade than a large, good quality well-peaked dish, with a low noise LNB, aimed at a satellite with strong signals. We get strong signals from 110W here in the Yucatan, so, a 1.8 m dish delivers good signals unless we get strong storms with dense clouds to the South East. i.e Our daily rains of the past month have not interrupted our signals - though 110W does not have a huge selection HD channels. enjoy. - Read-on MacDuff E-visit at http://yucalandia.com
