Need a cabbage recipe

My friend went to Mexico and he fell in love with a recipe that I just can't find. He said that it was called pico de gallo, but that it had no tomatoes. It had cabbage, lime juice and peppers and it was eaten with chips and salsa. Does anyone have a recipe for this?
