Wal-Mart explains low supplier charges MEXICO CITY -- Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the discount chain that is the subject of a Mexican government investigation of anti-competitive practices, said its distribution system allows it to win lower prices from suppliers. Wal-Mart de Mexico SA, the country's largest retailer, is charged less for goods than its competitors because the company buys in large volume and has more efficient computer networks and distribution centers, lowering delivery time and costs for suppliers, Walmex spokeswoman Mercedes Aragones said. http://biz.yahoo.com/rc/021017/retail_walmex_antad_1.html
