I have a client seeking bread mixes for a bread maker... anyone have any ideas where they might be found in PV?

I had a bread maker once upon a time but now just use a mixer and cook it in the oven, but as I recall it was the same recipe.

I assume in PV you can find wheat flour, yeast (levadura), salt, sugar, and water;baking powder (polvo para hornear), milk, and eggs optional.

2c flour
1c water
1tbs yeast
1tbs sugar
1tbs oil
pinch of salt

That is good for italian bread or pizza. For a softer bread add any or all of the following: 1tsp baking powder, 1 egg, substitute any or all water with milk.

For more exotic yeast breads you can add spices and other ingredients to make your own personalized flavor. More exotic than that and one would probably not be using a bread maker machine.

Very easy, really. I think it can all be found in PV. If you find a sack pre-mixed I'm sure you can expect to pay a lot more for it. I've had trouble finding various grades of flour but the all-purpose flour here works well enough, though I'd like to find a higher protein flour for a more chewy pizza dough.

Thanks, Peter, but the client specifically wants a mix. They are sailing to the Galapagos Islands for 11 weeks and I'm cooking up a storm for them. I've never seen a mix, but perhaps in their home in Australia mixes are readily available. I'll pass on your suggestion.
