Casa -- Thanks a MILLION!!! Problem almost solved. I called Infosat and spoke to a super nice and helpful young lady who explained the procedure to obtain a certified copy of the vehicle importation permit by mail. She gave me all the information. I said problem almost solved because of two slight issues. First, I called from a VoIP phone and it's hard to understand because of a limited connection due to slow down and upload speeds. Second, I speak great Spanish, but this chick was talking at a hundred miles per hour. Those two things cause a lack of confidence in the info obtained. We all know about the Mexican Postal Service. I'll be lucky if the request gets to the right place with the exact info. A misplaced number or letter and I'm toast. So, I'm going to have my Mexican girlfriend, who's in the States, call back tomorrow and get me the info again. BTW, it only costs $14 pesos, but takes a month to process and you can't cancel the permit at the border without the sticker and permit, or a certified copy. Thanks again Casa. Mexico Mike charges $25 USD for this info. "What we've got here is a failure to communicate."
