No. Not that I have ever heard of. If you want to use checks, you'll need to open a bank account in Mexico.

I've paid for items with a check drawn on a US bank account before. But each time involved a fair amount of money and a vendor who was willing to accept a dollar check. That's not the usual circumstance.

I only mention this to illustrate that it can happen, but that doing so ought not be accepted. Really now, how frequently in your country can one purchase anything with pesos -- much less a check drawn on a Mexican peso account?

Even though it's possible to pay by checks drawn on a Mexican peso account, it is not the norm. A lot of vendors don't like, trust, want, checks. Cash is king.

Back in July, I think it was, the institutions that usually accepted our US checks all changed policy to no longer accept checks. I noticed that it was taking a month or so for the checks to clear. In July that wasn't a problem, but just last month the peso lost about 20 % relative to the dollar. Perhaps they had good economic forecasting?
