I searched but didn't find much about Yuriria, so I am going to post that I really like it here. There is a beautiful crater lake and a regular lake, both just blocks from the town center. There is a huge old ex-convent, now a museum, which was built beginning in 1586. Folks are very friendly. My first day here, I was invited to a birthday party for the niece of the 'alcohol inspector' who, it seems, is quite the big-shot in city government. He arranged for me to pass the night in my RV parked in the mayor's reserved parking space next to city hall! The town is clean and modern. Population, from what I've been told, is about 50 to 60 thousand. A nice house will rent for about $100 a month. It's about 30 or 35 miles from Morelia. Yuriria is well worth a visit for anyone who is close by. It doesn't take very long to get to from SMA, either. Just go south through Celaya and turn west at Salvatierra.
