Yep, esperanza, a great recipe, although I made some minor changes in both how I cooked it and in the ingredients, so it didn't come out quite as "pure" Mexican as yours. My family loved it as it wasn't one of the HOHUM ordinary Mexican dishes they would get from their mamá (who is cooking less and less while she is working toward a 5 year university degree) or their abuela. They think it's pretty cool – ¡Qué padre! – that their gringo papi is doing most of the major cooking for the family now, and they love most all of my definitely gringo dishes, even though I sometimes must eschew gringo ingredients in favor of Mexican ones. The one I'm going to cook in the next couple of days is Beef Stroganoff Mexicana a la papí. That's one that is even suitable for company dinners and sooo easy to prepare. It actually only bears a passing resemblance to real Beef Stroganoof (the sour cream), but it's a LOT better AND healthier! IMHO
