Copper Canyon weather in early to mid march.

Hello everyone! Let me first say that I have had various questions over the past month or two relating to the Copper Canyon. I hope you can put up with one more.

We have a group who intend to visit the Copper Canyon in March. We've made transportation and lodging arrangements and pretty much have a handle on what to see and do. The problem is that one couple in the group is concerned that the weather in March will be too chilly for them to enjoy the sightseeing. AAA says in their book that March is one of the best months to take the trip, so I confess to being surprised by the comment.

So what's the truth of it? We don't intend to go down far into the canyon because a few people on the trip are not physically able to handle some of the walking and/or ride into Batopilas or Urique. So most of our time would be at the top, at nearby cascadas, and the like.

I really appreciate everyone's help with questions I've had over the years. There's an amazing group on board on this site!

I'm no weather forecaster, but I've been in Creel and Divisadero at that time of year and (some years) encountered puddles covered with ice... Maybe global warming this year will smile kindly on the Canyon after the terribly cold weather they've had in recent weeks, Tony
