A new colado (and a new spirit) for Santa Maria de los Altos

Can't Post |
At the break of dawn this morning, the menfolk of Santa Maria de los Altos gathered together to give a day's worth of work to place the colado on the new commmunity service center being built adjacent to the parish church in Santa Maria de Guido. Father Salvador Cisneros Rodriguez is a galvanizing force to encourage self-help within the community, but he can't do it alone.

Santa Maria de Guido has long been a favorite residence of the expatriate community of Morelia, but it's time for those expatriates to embrace the spirit of the community by showing their support for the neighborhood's well-being. Many thanks go out to Bill & Jane Clancy, Luis Montes, Juan Soberanes, Kristin Solberg, Favio Carapia, John Parkyn, Teresa Beckett, and Leonardo Cesar for their kind and generous financial contributions towards building materials.
