auto hotel/ 2,500 pesos for 6 hours!!!!

i believe i found the most expensive auto hotel suite in mexico..... i was traveling through mexico and stopped to get some rest... i paid 300 pesos for 6 hours, the room was quite impressive.... i felt like i was at a hilton suite.
on our way out, i spotted a unit that stated 2,500 pesos for 6 hours.... so i asked the man if we could take a look inside.

AMAZING...... as i opened the door, i was taken by a 8 foot X 4 foot wide stripper stage with 2 poles on each side, along the back there was a leather couch set up for at least 12 people.. the bed must have been 15 feet wide with a huge jacuzzi to the side.... to top it off... there was a back yard with a rectangular /lap size pool!!!!!!! believe it or not.

WOW... i was very impressed with the suite and would consider staying there on another trip just to do it.

What is an auto hotel? Saw them often...never paid much mind to them but never was clear if it was a hotel by the hour, or just a place you can stay and be sure the car is ok too?

I don't know the price, but there is a motel in Leon, Gto. that has theme rooms--operating room, s&m, rancho--and many more.

i am going to be driving by next week and will take some pictures....... i am still amazed by what i saw!!!!

it would be neat if someone would start a web page for auto hotels in mexico..... although i have not found any with heater .. so bring along your portable heater....

There is a Web page for moteles de paso, although it also seems to include numerous business hotels. Most of the listings are in el D.F.

Most of the people staying in this type of motel bring their own "heat".

We drive to Melaque via Laredo each season, and regularly stay in 'Auto Hoteles'. Imaculate, and secure. Our favourite
is on the North side of Matehuala, but have stayed in one in San Luis Potosi. Lots of friends use them too.
Usual price is 280 pesos, or 450 for 24 hours. A great deal for a beautiful room (with interesting TV channels !)
We have 2 in the short distance between Melaque and Manzanillo, with a 3rd under construction. Popular local
entertainment I guess. Be careful, the complimentary 'chewing gum' tastes like rubber !

this is the first one i ever stayed at -www.motelriazor.com in guadalajara. i just found out they also have a 2 bedroom suite!!!!!!! as you guys can see, i am still amazed by these plases..

i always have my bubble bath shampoo and some bathtub cleaner ................
