Hey thanks: )

I should have explained. As moderator, I am supposed to get the IP # of the person posting. And although I'm in Central Mexico using www.laguna.com.mx as my primary ISP, the IP # shown, ID's me as being two countries away. And before reporting same to the man in charge up in Vancouver, I wanted to check again that I had the same problem. And I still do.

It shows up as IP: 208.70.246.24. And using my best English, that aint my IP # :)

Thanks Rolly. I figured as much and sent my URL for this string to the web techie in Vancouver who is working on the problem. Maybe there will be a solution. I sure hope so. And by the way happy birthday. I should have said that earlier but I hate getting a year older every year and I am in denial.

I think I am 39, that's the year I was born. I'm really getting paranoid as I get closer to 70 :)

Testing, testing, testing...

My IP should show up on a remote Baja beach with fishing pole in one hand and a cold Cadillac Margarita in the other. Let me know just in case I am lost...

Yep it shows you in BC alright but we are not talking Baja, California here. :) We are talking, if I remember correctly Vancouver BC, or somewhere very close thereto. It's no big deal, but it would be kind of cool if I could again see the correct IP numbers.

IP: 208.70.246.24

I blame you for this by the way, but I just added Margarita mix to my afternoon shopping list

I assure you that I am not in Canada and as long as you are picking up some Margarita mix be sure to get some Grand Marnier or Cointreau to make it a REAL Cadillac Margarita!

I'm still checking to see if the experts have found the bug. My true IP address is 201.134.110.36.
Going further, using an IP search tool, I learned the following

Hostname:customer-201-134-110-36.uninet-ide.com.mxISP:Uninet S.A. de C.V.Organization:Uninet S.A. de C.V.Proxy:None detected

Where am I? In Ajijic along the shores of Lake Chapala. I'm using the following ISP www.laguna.com.mx that uses the above as their backbone, or connection to the internet. I will postnow post this and see if my correct IP address is shown

PS I have posted the above but sadly it still says that I am connected to IP: 208.70.246.24 which is two countries away in or near Vancouver, Canada.

Oh well, I leave for Seattle and Vancouver Island next week. Maybe this web page is so smart that it can predict where I am going.

Some of you may wonder what the heck I am talking about. Because when you look on the left of your screen you see your handle or the name you post under, a time and date perhaps a picture and perhaps the word "Shortcut". The moderator gets a little more information to include the IP # of a poster.

What is an IP address and how accurately does that identify you? Not as accurately as I would like. For more info, why not enter the following keywords in your search engine what is an IP address? And get really confused. Have a good weekend.

I am usually not a Margarita drinker, but after joking around with you and others, I figured why not, and grabbed a bottle that I didn't look at the closely and made me a big margarita with three shots in it. You know one big glass full of ice to sip over a longer period.

I couldn't figure out why the margarita tasted so strong and why I got a little drunk. Well that bottle of Margarita Mix that I added the tequila to, wasn't Margarita mix. It was a bottle of Margaritas, it was the mix plus the the tequila.

So I guess I got, not a triple margarita but one with 6 shots. So much for not reading the label before mixing.

ON A TECHNICAL note, I was really excited when the local cable company offered us up to 6 Megs down by 2 Megs up. And sometimes in Seattle my Comcast connection as given me with as high as

[URL=http://www.speedtest.net]

I give tech support at an ISP called www.laguna.com.mx Well just to make you all jealous, I was just given an additional internet connection rated with a download speed of 28.8 with an upload that is even faster. Now for the truth, yes the download speed is 28.8 or so, but we are talking dialup, 28.8 kb/sec. We still have a few dialup customers so we reactivated my old dialup account, so I could play around.
