whole house water purification systems

Hi--I did a search here for info on the above but only came up with general media articles on the subject. I would like to hear from anyone--pro or con--who has installed a whole-house purification system. I am interested in specifics such as brand recommendations, etc. Feel free to contact me personally. My wife and I are finally just about finished building our house in Sayulita and are considering a whole-house system, verus undercounter filters.

There is a company called Adler Ecologia y Diseno with offices in DF and San Miguel de Allende. Ian Adler the owner has installed many whole house systems in SMA and has also built rainwater harvesting, storage and filtration systems for the municipal gov't. I'm not sure if he would be interested in making the trip to the coast but it can't hurt to ask. He is bi-lingual. Give him a call or send him an email. You can find his contact info at the following link:

Hellol,

Are you referring to water softeners also? Called suavizador in Spanish. I am looking for information in the Puebla area.

Thank you.
