The last two times I've purchased fish at a Superama here in Mexico City, I've picked up something called filete de basa oriental. I get the filete part and oriental is obvious...but what does basa mean?

Well, dang. If it doesn't simply mean bass then the folks I buy fish from are having a good laugh on me!
