Styrofoam Wall and Roof Panel's ?????

Can't Post |
Ok folks I see them being used a lot for walls and roofs .
Your choice is 4" 6" and 8" Styrofoam panels 4 feet wide and 8 or 10 feet long . They use to coats of cement 1 grey about 1 1/2 " thick with small aggregate and a final white coat as usual They still use vertical columns and headers and lintels etc . Its meant for single story homes or the second story of a 2 story home .
Now the plus side's are as follows.
#1. Cheaper to erect
#2. Faster (is anything fast in Mexico? teheheh:)
#3. GREAT insulation factors
#4. allows for intricate wall roof designs
Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful BUT!!
How long will a wall like this last ?
How strong is it ?
Is aprox 2" of hand laid up cement strong enough to say use toggle bolts to hold upper kitchen cabinets to the wall when filled with dishes or can goods?
Ok I can take it! Hit me with it!!! It seems to good to be true, and at 51 years of age, with 33 years in construction I should know better than to even ask . But IT Sounds So Good ! :)

(10 + years old) building system . Several sites available with lots of links to stress loading etc. So with the help of Pattern Language
"Thanks Carl" and Styrene panels "Thanks Chuck"
Could be in a few months - - - or maybe not till 2003. As we are in the middle of selling 3 homes in Ill. 1 in Michigan and building a new one in the Rolling Hillsides of Western ILL. Yes you read that right there really is some beautiful rolling heavily woody lands here in ILL.

They are called R-Control Panels and what a great way to build! It is fast and they are extremely strong. We have built 3 houses with this system. Here is another good thing, you don't have to look for a stud to hang something! We are in the process of building a 2,500 sq.ft house now in Colorado. Goes fast, strong and very efficent.

: and/or support from the columns or ceiling
