Guadalajara Mariachi Festival

Can't find the exact dates of the 2009 International Mariachi Festival on the Internet. One site seems to be saying it won't be held in Guadalajara this year. Does anybody out there know?

The official website for the annual Encuentro Internacional del Mariachi y de la Charrería is here: http://www.mariachi-jalisco.com.mx/. The information for the XVI Encuentro (2009) isn't up on the website yet. It's usually not available until shortly before the fun starts.

However, the dates for the 2009 Encuentro are August 27 through September 6. Yes, the festival will take place in Guadalajara. The opening parade is August 29, the first Saturday of the event. There will be concerts and charrería in other locations in Jalisco, including Lagos de Moreno. Lagos de Moreno will host the charrería championships.
