Hey all,

I'm a banana and heliconia lover and wondering if there are good nurseries that offer variety in such tropical plants in BCN. Thanks!

Zach

Zach - anywhere specifically you are looking? Tijuana / Ensenada / Mexicali / BOLA?

Looking mostly in the Tijuana/Rosarito/Ensenada area for a good nursery.

Zach - I have gotten a lead on a couple but I need to know what plants are you looking for specifically to see if they have them?

Hey BG,

Just a general nursery of plants is what I'm looking for. As far as tropicals, I am looking for banana plants most! Oh btw, I'm here in Mexico! Colonia Obrera 2nda seccion right now.

Zach: There are some nurseries located out on the south east side of Tijuana and a I know of a few in Rosarito that might have what you are looking for. Are you looking to get big ones or small plantings? If you go small you are better off just bringing them across from San Diego.

Bajagringo,

I haven't gone out much as somos bien pobres ultimamente but once I'm settled with work, I'll be canvassing the city. I will keep the southeast side of Tijuana in mind for nurseries.
I'm looking for medium-sized plants. It's kinda risky brining them across the boarder cuz I could get a red light if they see tropical leaves in the car! Of course I could manage to hide really small ones.

Would you be able to tell me the locations of those nurseries, or where I can look them up? Thanks!
