Is it possible to purchase hay bales (straw) in the Yucatan area for building? And if so what would the cost per bale be?

Bailing machines are expensive

I would guess that bailing machines are not commonly used except up by the border where they might export to the US. Kinda like cement trucks and cement pumpers ... they only use them in large cities where they make economic sense ... and speed is important.
