I just got back from a trip to San Antonio, Texas, and at the Market Square just west of the Alamo saw a bathroom sink and toilet made in beautiful bright colors like some of the pottery. Was wondering if those are common in Mexico and if anyone has them in their home and if so, how good they hold up.

Toilets resembling the one Loco uploaded aren't common in the least. Dolores Hidalgo sinks are fairly common in homes featuring touches of colonial design (read upscale) and restaurants. The drawback is that the material is relatively soft, the glaze tends to craze, and there's some problem with using abrasive cleaners. That said, they're fine for a powder room or guest bath. I wouldn't recommend them for areas with frequent traffic or high use.

Your information was exactly what I wanted to know. I do think I will get something like this for any guest powder room I have.
