Alarm systems

We are in the process of buying a new house in San Miguel de Allende, which does not have an intrusion alarm system. Could someone make a recommendation of who to contact in SMA who could supply and install a system? Thanks.

The architects in San Miguel can give you info on alarm systems. Home Mart in Queretaro or Leon might have them. Check with Tom Brightman. He knows that kind of thing.

Broken glass is rather easy to defeat, so I rely on a pit bull and a German Shepard. The bandito would have to be pretty determined to get past two big dogs and the iron bars.

I saw one of them lock onto another dog on the beach in Barra. It was not pretty and I'd be afraid it might freak out if it was in a bad mood. Could not bring myself to have one.

I dont care what anyone says about Pitt Bulls!!! My sister has had A LOT of Pitt Bulls and she has had a couple of mean ones, but that was because they were older dogs when she got them and the people who had them before her made them mean. The way i look at it is any dog can be mean, and yeah SOME Pitt Bulls have being mean in their blood BUT MOST Pitt Bulls are made to be mean!!! So i think Pitt Bulls are a very safe animal!!!

I agree with you Nicki. Most of the time it's the owner, not the dog, who gives pit bulls (and others) a bad name. My male pit bull is a sweetheart. Dogs have personalities just like people. There are some people who seem to be born mean, and there are some dogs that have aggressive personalities. I had a female pit bull puppy who was very loving with me, but she was so aggressive with everyone else (except the cat) that I found her a home on a ranch at the age of only nine months because I was afraid she might harm someone. She is the only dog I have ever had that caused me to worry.
If you have a mean neighbor, you can bet his dog will be the same no matter what the breed.

I WILL ONLY HAVE PITTS. THEY ARE VERY LOYAL IF YOU ARE LOYAL TO THEM.. IT REALY IS THE WAY YOU RAISE A DOG.YOU CAN TRAIN A POMERANIAN TO BE VISCIOUS. PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF PITTS BECAUSE THERE ARE STUPID PEOPLE ABUSING THEIR ANIMALS AND NOT LOVING THEM. DON'T HATE THE DOG, HATE THE OWNER THAT ABUSES HIS DOG. LOVE ALL CREATURES, I KNOW YOU ALL HAVE HEARD OF THAT!!!!!!!

I used to feel the same way untill my boyfriend got a Pitt Bull, and then I saw a Pitt Bull different from the ones I would here about in the news. All animals instinctively attack if they feel threatened. Pitt Bulls (like any other large dog) may cause more damage than normal. If you train your dog properly - ie. how to interact with people, enough space to run around, walk it regularly - and not keep it cooped up in a cage 20 hours a day with no attention, that dog will show you so much love and be loyal to you for the rest of its life. Why not do some in depth research (don't rely on the media alone) before making such statements.

Dear Ms. Mason:
Im not sure if you still require for your alarm system but if you do, I can help you. I run a large engineering firm in Mexico City and we also have a small division dedicated to the design and installation of High Profile Alarm Systems and large residential systems, if your proyect isnt very big contact us anyway. Maybe we can help you find an independent installer in the area.
Best regards,
Vicente Negrete

I don't see a difference between pitt bulls and poodles besides the size and the fact that pitt bulls are cuter and better.

I own a Pitt Bull, and they are great dogs. If people treated them right then they wouldnt have the bad name they got. Some people neglect them, or treat them horribly with out even knowing it. You can't blame the dogs for what people do, just like you can blame a gun for killing someone, its the person behind the dog or the gun that makes them to what they do.

I disagree with everyone. I have a pitt bull and she is the sweetes dog you could ever met. The only reason pitt bulls have bad names are because of stupid people who make them aggressive. If you raise them right they will act right.

You would have to actually own on to understand who they think and react. The Pitt Bulls that are really aggressive like the ones shown on movies are trained that way. They are fed gun powder and chili peppers and things of that sort. Pitt Bulls, hard to believe, are very friendly dogs that wear a smile all the time.

When I'm alone at night or by myself I do not worry 4 one single minute of someone breaks into my home....I have protection & my best friend to come home all the time...People are always afraid of something they don't know, any dog can be trained to be vicious, why is it that only Pitt Bulls are noted as Dangerous Dogs...what about Dalmations everyone thinks they sweet, NOT!!!!!!!
Dobermans, NOT!!! Great Danes..my friends owned one & it almost tore their baby's arm off, they got rid of the GREAT DANE...it's how U train them too. We've spent a lot of time & money in training, he's obedient & does what I say when I say it!!!! & yes he VERY loyal. More than a LAB
