About a year or two ago there was an amnesty whereby you could legalize
any auto vintage 93 and prior. Has this now been advanced to 94 or 95?
I'm thinking of driving a van to Mexico but don't want to bring it back,
but rather sell it before I come back. Is this possible and what are
the implications? I searched for the answer but to no avail. Thanks.

Why do people keep asking these questions. The answer is NO! Not legally. The amnesty was for vehicles that are already in Mexico before a certain date. Not for you to sell a vehicle illegally!

I believe there should be a clarification there-any PICK UP truck that is at least 10 years can get Mexico tags-once you have the tags, I would think you seel the truck. And that means bringing them into Mexico from the states

1. He is asking about a van not a pickup
2. He wants to legalise it after he brings it into the country.
3. Are you sure that the pickup importation applies to foreigners??

Why do people keep asking thise questions? Maybe because they keep getting bs answers. I realize he said van-all I wanted to clarify was that according to my lawyer in Mexico, I can bring my 12 yr. pick up truck from the states and get Mexican tags. If I can sell, not sure because I do not want to sell. You know some people have a life and don't stay glued to these message boards like me and YOU BK.
