concrete finishing

Can't Post |
I built a circular concrete stairway in my home in Michoacan. The surface and some of the edges did not come out as even as I would have liked.
I would like to place hard wood flooring on them but I need to even out the surface. Does anyone know of a compound(epoxy, concrete, etc.) that I could use to smooth out the surface so I could lay the floor on?
I am able to buy it here in the US or in Mexico.

Self-Leveling Floor Resurfacer

Self-finishing interior floor toppings and underlayments specially formulated to produce smooth surfaces ready for the installation of ceramic tile, resilient flooring or other finishes. No troweling required.
----------------------------------
I used something like this a number of times for both tile and plastic tile. You will need edges though (a fence) because this goes on very thin and is self leveling.

There are several compounds sold in the U.S. for tile to be laid on uneven floors. One of the brand names is Levelastic, I believe. There are 2 general types of floor levelers however. One is latex based and one cementitious. You will have to inquire of the manufacturer of the flooring, which is recommended, as the an application of the wrong type will decompose, and not give you the support for the finish floor. Good luck!
