I haven't been able to post on any string for several days. Just trying to see whether I can now.

I could post this time. What did I do differently? I do not know. I shall sign off and try again. If I fail the second time, then somehow I'm signing in wrong

There have been some problems Pete but they were all (or seemingly all) resolved Sunday afternoon.

Thank you bournemouth and David. Between the two of you I figured out what I was doing to include using the wrong URL. So just because I'm the technical moderator doesn't mean that I can't make technical mistakes. I make more of them than I want to admit

I had trouble, too, at first, but it looks as if I'm good-to-go now.

BTW, Pete, I'm up in your country. Our newest great GRANDbaby got a really rough start and was taken from Valley General in Monroe to Everett Prov to Children's in Seattle, then back to Everett. He just came home today. How thankful we are!

It's even a sunny day here! The second time in the two weeks I've been here.

I'm glad everything is going OK for your grandchild. Yes you are having a heat wave up there. The weather report was for 50 F or 10 C. How do I know? Because, my Sat TV provider is Star Choice, and one of the US network station cities they provide is Seattle.

Well the sun is going down and it's in the high 70s or about 27 C along the shores of Ajijic. Time to go mix myself a rum and diet Pepsi.

Again, I'm glad everything is going well for your grandson. If you are up there or on Vancouver Island during May and June, please contact me. I'm heading for Seattle and Vancouver Island around the 3rd of May for about 7 weeks.

PS. I don't believe it. I was just watching the Seattle KING TV channel 5 weather forecast this evening. It was 70 today in Seattle and projected the same for Monday.

What does this have to do with Mexico? Well, the Canadian www.starchoice.com small dish system not only carries Canadian TV but also the network stations from Seattle or Spokane on the West Coast and Detroit or Buffalo on the East Coast. And guess what? The stations from Seattle and Detroit are simulcast in HD. And you can pick up all of the Star Choice stations in central Mexico, using their 75 E elliptical satellite dish which measures only 36.5 by 26 inches.

Luckily we have a Star Choice account on Vancouver Island and when I travel to Seattle and then to Mexico each cold weather season, I take an (the same) HD Star Choice receiver with me. You are only allowed to have a receiver in two locations
