Thanks for that information. It might be good news for me. I have had my Dish setup for only a very short time. I enjoy watching the evening news sometime between 3:30pm and 7:30pm depending on where it is coming from. I have watched the evening national news most of my life and while I realize it is mostly crap, it is just a habit now, but I resent it being pre-empted by local weather, especially when I am not there. So far the evening national news from Atlanta has been pre-empted by local "breaking" weather news a lot, with threats of thunderstorms and tornado activity, and frankly I am sick of it. If they pre-empted the national evening news in Kansas where I lived for 30+ years every time the skies got a little gray and cloudy, no one would ever have seen the news. I imagine the people if the greater Atlanta area appreciate the warnings, however. So, I trust the spring and summer weather will be a little calmer in NYC than it is in Atlanta and I can watch the nationl evening news again.
