I came into a Hampton Bay window unit, I can get it to work its just i have no instruction booklet to know how ALL the features work. the buttons i do not know how they fully work and how they are suppose to work is
the AUTO button,TIMER button,ENERGY SAVER button, i wish somebody can help explain the EXACT functions of these items.So i can use this machine to its full advantages.and does anyone know of a web site for hampton bay products/info i seem to be getting the run around and led to other places on the net.

Hampton Bay is a trade name used by Home Depot to identify quite a few of their products. I'm sure you could get info. you need from them. Try Home Depot on the web first. You may have to go to a store or call though.

I can answer some of your questions as I just bought a small window unit from Home Depot.Energy Saver Mode: Turns off the fan whenever the compressor is off. On mine, the fan comes on every 3 minutes to check the room air temp. to determine if cooling is needed.Timer: If A/C is running this button will turn off A/C after elapsed time. Settable in 1 hour increments up to 12 hours. After 30 min. set temp. will be raised 2 degrees F and another 2 degrees after after a total of 60 min.If A/C is OFF, will turn on A/C after elasped time. Same time range as above. Mode: Switches between Fan, Cool and Dry. The book does not explain what Dry mode is.Mine does not have an AUTO button.Hope this helps.

WE JUST BOUGHT A HAMPTON BAY A/C UNIT FROM HOME DEPOT. WE ARE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH IT GETTING COOL OR EVEN COLD. WE WERE TOLD IT WOULD BE 3 WEEKS BEFORE A SERVICE REP COULD COME OUT. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. WHY AREN'T THERE MORE THAN ONE SERVICEMAN IN THE SLIDELL, LA. AREA?

This may sound stupid.. but make sure you have the "mode" selection set to "cool"... otherwise it only blows the fan... and F3 will be the highest fan speed.
