I'd like to second Karen's suggestion of this book. It's a great read and gives a quite different and penetrating view into contemporary Mexico.
If you don't care to purchase the book outright, I'd suggest checking your local library. They can often get a copy through Inter-Library Loan. I've also heard that the author, Sam Quinones, has a sequel in the works. I look forward to its publication...<p>: Might I also suggest that you read this book while sipping a margarita especial on a beautiful stretch of Mexican beach.
