When we drive home to our ranch, we pass our local "Boys Town", which actually offers some pretty upscale entertainment along with the usual backroom activities.
Times have been rough all along the border with drug cartel violence frightening tourists away, strict curfews at the nearby military base, more careful checks on under-age customers, and new rules increasing the red tape required to get back into the US after a visit to Mexico. So the clubs have re-surfaced the road leading to Perdition and done some seriously gorgeous landscaping in an attempt to entice more customers.
They also have one of those large portable signs out front with a flashing yellow arrow and the message changes according to the season. One of the most recent ones says:
Welcome Hunters, Fishermen, VIPs, and Friends No US Passports Required til Summer 2009
