Hi Mike,<p>Usually a moral or elitist argument when trying to tell you if you are so foolish to have a certain obviously counterproductive vice, that you probably will be stupid enough to enjoy that results of the vice.<p>I have used it when someone asks me if they can smoke inside my truck, but saying "él que por su gusto fuma, hasta el cáncer le sabe a tabaco dulce."<p>The same can be said about getting drunk and being an alcoholic, or sleeping around and getting STD's, for example, though the substitutions are not necessary nor common, just sarcastic.<p>There are actually folks out there with fetishes for death and amputating their own body parts. Perhaps this saying was invented with themin mind.
