You know how, as you get older, time flies and you think the things you bought ten or 20 years ago are still "new"? Well, it has come to my attention that the steel blade on my regular-size Cuisinart is about 15 years old and is gumming things to death rather than slicing them in bits. A new blade will cost me about $32 USD mail order and can be brought back from the US, or at least I hope so if I keep it in the box. (If someone has bought one in Guadlajara and can tell me where, please help!) On the other hand the motor on the old one is getting old, so maybe I should just opt for a brand new Cuisinart at Wal*Mart or somewhere here and pay $140 or so for a machine that will outlive me. What do you Cuisinart users think?
