My current cell phone is expiring and I'm dying to get a Blackberry. Would such a high tech cell phone be of any use to me in Mexico?

Telcel is just about to introduce the Blackberry to Mexico. If you are just visiting, then our son uses his when he is here with no problems. I understand from various web sites that some people have removed the AT&T chips from their Blackberries and installed local chips.

I'm wrong - it's not Telcel but Iusacell who is introducing Blackberries to Mexico. Pete is right on with Telcel bringing in Iphones.
