Teaching ESL (English as a Second Language) to Mexicans

Can't Post | Private Reply
While driving my city bus here in Calgary, Alberta ... I have become friendly with 3 Mexican gentlemen who work here in Alberta on a work permit.

Their English is almost nonexistent.

Aside from biblioteca resources, I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with any ESL books or programs that are basic, thorough, and are specifically geared toward teaching Spanish speaking adults English as a second language.

Interested in receiving any advice from you.

Thanks,

Janis

There is an enormous amount of information on the internet about teaching ESL and about learning English. I have taught beginning English with a simple picture book and stuff from various websites. Start with http://www.eslcafe.com/ and go from there.
