Aha! Esperanza, you were actually reading what I wrote! I used to have a client whose wife actually did have Alzheimer's and he very seriously referred to it as Anheiser's .... which my husband refers to the "irish disease" as in, "let's have a wee jug."

I caught Esperanza's quick reply and had a chuckle. The other way of "spelling" it is oldtimers' disease.

And I have "CRS" (Can't Remember Sh-T) precursor to Alzheimers. <sigh>
