I just read about this service on a coastal web board. There is a map that shows coverage areas in Mexico. Guadalajara seems to have wide coverage. It would be interesting to hear from someone using the service:

It's been around for 2 or 3 years in the greater Guad area. It's nothing new according to the owner of the local ISP here in Ajijic. It uses a different frequency than 802.11b. The concept is Wi-MAX. To learn more do a search using the key word "Navini". Oh, Navini Inc was acquired by CISCO last year.
