Sounds like Cancun to me. Or several other sizeable resort cities in México.

Good examples in the article, on how to 'mix it up'.

People, tradition, bars, restaurants, beaches.............etc.

Thanks for the post. That is quite an eclectic and yet balanced view of Cancun. Not exactly like what is winding up now at http://www.pesachincancun.com/ Le Blanc but to each his/her own.
I personally--having erroneously heard that Pres. Obama was going to be in Cancun today and tomorrow--have run south and am currently at a hotel on the beach in Akumal for a couple of days to avoid all of the security issues and traffic related to the Obama visit that didn't happen. The fact that he didn't come to Cancun should not interfere with my plans.
Thanks again--great article and no mention of shoot-outs, beheadings or narcotunnels! I love it.
