Help for newcomer in QRO?

Hello everyone! I am a 25-year-old soon-to-be English teacher in Queretaro - I am scheduled to move there next week. I'm familiar with Queretaro and am happy that I will be living in such a nice city, but, naturally, I'm a little nervous about this move, especially given the fact that the housing I had set up recently fell through and I don't know where to look for a room, short of reading the classifieds once I'm down there. Does anyone have any cheap housing suggestions?
I'd also love to hear any general advice about the city and info about other expats living there - I speak Spanish, so I won't be totally stranded once I'm there, but I'd love to have the support of fellow expats, too. Are there official expat get-togethers or other ways to get in touch?
Thanks so much to anyone who gets a chance to respond...

Both Shelley 52 442 183 9139 and Zoe 442 130 5879 are ex-pat women, living in Queretero, who might be willing to give a young teacher like yourself some helpful pointers on 'la vida' en Queretero.
