Progreso/Chicxulub Info Needed

Can't Post |
Have rented a beach front home in Cnicxulub for winter season 2003,and need some info about what is around the area. We were their for two weeks this past feb and did alot of the sites, but for a three month stay I will need to unwind from all the beach time, so being a avid golfer and tennis player am looking for places to play, is any of this nearby and would it be very costly.

It is a upper crust housing area. It has an 18 hole golf course and several tennis courts, lighted and under cover from the rain. Swimming pool, etc. You may pay a monthly fee to use the facilities without living there. Check with the office when you get there.

Hi Joe
Congrats on coming to my corner of the world. I live in Chix
and have been there for a total of 2 fulltime years and 4 previous visits.
I find there is lots to do depending on your
interests. Glen told you about the golf course
and you should check it out. If you are into
cards there are a few groups for bridge and euchre
all winter long. If you are interested in
volunteering some time there is a local nursing
home where there are groups of us that run an
exercise program and maintenance work. There is
also an artistic community in and around the area.
You are close to Merida where you will find lots of
cultural events to attend. Hope this helps. If
you want more info or if I can assist in any way
email me at shelgason@hotmail.com
