Wrought iron railings

I have a question. Basically my ironmonger screwed up the pattern on the railings for the mirador which are now installed. I had designed a design motif (made of 2 ballusters each) to be centred in each panel of railing. Unfortunately, these design motifs have morphed to every position possible in the panels except for the right one. They are looking kinda strange. Is this just an issue of removing the design motifs and re-welding them in the right place? Easy to correct or no?

It's hard to say without looking at the welds, but the chances are pretty good that the errors can be corrected.

Thanks Rolly. I'll give it a whirl. I am not a perfectionist so if it doesn't work I won't get my girdle in a knot (as they used to say).

Always glad to amuse people, John :-) Ironmonger is of course the British term, but it is what my Mexican builder calls the man who did all the iron work for the house....

OK smarty. Now what's the American term?

By the way, I have visited and enjoyed your building website. Always like to see other people's building projects....how's your project coming along??? Maybe you could post another update here?

(and yup, "monger" has two different meanings)

Coming in a little late here...
Your monger guy can easily fix what you describe. He may say otherwise with a great poker face.
I always try my best to get the initial deposit down and the motivation to "finish it right" up.

Have used the term 'iron monger' all of my life, being from the northwest. Seems perfectly natural to me. What else do you call them?
