RV travel in Mexico

Can't Post |
After enjoying travel around Mexico by bus, we decided to take our 24' travel trailer and 16-yr-old dog with us this coming February. Any advice? Any suggestions on books to read/take? Also, our truck is licensed/titled in Washington state and our trailer is licensed/titled in Oregon. We are planning on changing the truck licensing to Oregon before leaving to avoid possible problems. Is this advisable? Thanks.

The most important suggestion comes first. You need a copy of the Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping by Church & Church, http://www.rollinghomes.com which has most of the info you need.
Also, check out the driving itinerary posted in the Messages at http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/theseriousmexicotourist which gives turn-by-turn directions to Mexico's most interesting and beautiful places. It includes some city maps which, although you don't know it now, are very valuable. It covers a single itinerary, but it's the one that will show you the best of Mexico. It's free.
Sorry, I don't know the answer to your question on licensing. If you don't get an answer on this forum, it's possible the Mexican Consulate will know.
Buen viaje,

There shouldn't be an raised eyebrow over that. If there is just smile and say "Casa de Temporada" (summer or seasonal home). Make sure that the tags on both do not expire while you are in Mexico.
If you would like to see some driving and RV tips refer to the link below:
Scroll to Articles, Editorials & Travelogues and click
Choose from any of the many links to RVing in Mexico.
Mike and Teri Church are releasing a revised book "Traveler's Guide to Mexican Camping" today (as a matter of fact). You can order from their website www.rollinghomes.com

Saludos,

Every border is different ... here at the Pharr Texas/Reynosa, Mexico border it depends on which official you get. The law states that all addresses must match, and this was enforced in the beginning, but after a few years they have become lax about the rule. But as for what is legally binding - you should have the addresses match.
