RV in Mazatlan during Carnival

For years, my hubby has wanted to be in Mexico during Carnival. This year we can do it, leaving Arizona in February. Any advice on reserving a spot for this busy time. We can stay for 1-3 months in one spot, but would prefer to travel around. All advice on RV reservations/travel appreciated! On all our other trips, we flew into the country and took buses around.
