Retirement Home/Assisted Living Info-2007 Updates?

I am a newbie who has benefited greatly from reading your forums on living and retiring in Mexico. What a wonderful community you are, even tho' you live in different places, and what a wonderful information resource! That said, any updates anyone can provide on long-term care providers, their locations, and costs would be very appreciated. There have been various threads touching on these topics from time to time but none updated much since late 2004/early 2005. For example, there was apparently an assisted living facility in Mazatlan in 2004 called the Melville, but its website now describes it as a "boutique hotel." Other providers mentioned included two homes operated by a woman named Alicia (in La Canacinta and El Chante), Mi Casita in Ajijic, Casa de Ancianos de Chapala, La Casa Nostra (south of Marisol), a facility in Celaya run by nuns, and another one in Queretaro. There are also facilities, I gather, in Guadalajara, but none were specifically identified in any of the posts I read. To my disappointment, I can find no websites or descriptions of any of these facilities or any information regarding their 2007 services, costs, contact information, availability, etc. At the same time, I can find no information about retaining in-home services as an alternative or if there is anything in Mexico as exists NOB--a healthcare agency that will provide for hire companion care or a geriatric nursing or home health aide--generally with a 2 or 3 hour minimum. Any light anyone can shed on this topic would be greatly appreciated. It will mean the difference whether I can bring my 85-year old mother for extended visits or my 34 year old son who is a quadriplegic. Ooops! Almost forgot--what is the GDL airport like for someone like my son who is wheelchair bound? Does the airport have a lift or skywalk for debarking wheelchair passengers? Or will it be as I recall from a few years back in Puerto Vallarta being carried off the plane head first in his chair by 4 men--none of whom spoke English--with his head looking up at the sky through his knees? Thanks very much in advance for ANY information you might have. %=}
