: Travelling by RV- Are there any laundry facilities in Mexico?
Well of course there are. But I don't know of a laundry guidebook that lists them. The Church book (you know about that, right?) suggests asking the campground operators where nearby laundromats are.
I don't know about that. I just use the Carl Franz system: soak the laundry in soapy water in a tightly-covered bucket while you're driving. Rinse thoroughly and hang up to dry. To me that's easier. By the way, I don't hang up anything really nice outside to tempt the temptable.

Thanks- One response proposed adding a sneaker to the Carl F method to act as agitator and bolting the laundry vessel to the back bumper for prime action. She will probably test this on my laundry. Good travelling.

: : Travelling by RV- Are there any laundry facilities in Mexico?
: Well of course there are. But I don't know of a laundry guidebook that lists them. There are 2 ways to have your laundry done.
Yes they have laundry facilities as we find at home but you can not use the washers yourself. Drop your laundry and pick it up later.
Or depending on where you are, a woman will come around and do your laundry at her place and will bring it back the next day. Always ask the price.

The best bet for laundry that we have found on the road is to just do it by hand ourselves, skipping the bucket while driving. Who knows what you will find when you arrive somewhere that will be much more interesting than laundry, and why hang it out at the end of the day?
As long as we don't let the quanity get out of hand, it is a very easy job. We also switched to dark colored sheets on the bed, and black towels, so we don't have to wash those awkward items as often. Fill bucket to 1/2 (loosely) with clothes. Fill bucket to 3/4 with warm water. Add a healthy shot of liquid Tide or equivalent. Place second bucket alongside the first. Fill and soap. Remove shoes. While reading a good novel, do the old-fashioned "grape stomp" agitating the "load" for about ten minutes or so. Drain and do two rinses to get rid of the soap. This really works good and you'll have really clean toenails to boot.
If you've got a lot of laundry: I'll wash up to three (1/2 bucket) loads per soapy fill. For rinsing, I refill after each rinse. Pour the water on some nearby plants, they'll enjoy it.

Saludos!

MY thanks to all who responded including the idea that going naked is healthy and saves laundry. SOME ideas I will test.
