Crossing Into Mex--Changes Since 9-11?

Can't Post |
A US citizen, I'm planning to enter Mexico again this fall & wondering if anyone who's done so recently found any changes to the process as a result of increased security since 9-11? I've always found Nogales an efficient crossing point with no hassles in past years. Thanks!

Tecate

Things are normal in Tecate. Reportedly police and army personnel are "on the lookout" for "middle eastern terrorists". When one judicial cracked that the US was paying a cash bounty for suspected terrorists FOB the border fence, I didn't know what to say. He was joking of course, right?
Maybe not so far-fetched is the statement that middle eastern visitors are denied tourist cards these days unless they bring some sort of a voucher or letter from their government. With all the rumours flying around these days it's hard to separate fact from fiction.
But one thing is certain, traffic entering Mexico proceeds at a good clip here in Tecate.

Saludos,
