I'll ask around. I'm assuming you want a Mexican family/home, traditional cooking, i.e. comal, etc. This reminds me...there's a new (well fairly new) restaurant a short distance outside of Oaxaca called Stone Soup. They heat river stones and throw them in the soup (tomato and herb broth with shrimp) and you watch it cook, bubbling and steaming right before your eyes. It's a rustic restaurant, palapa style. The stone soup tradition started in a pueblo high in the mountains above Oaxaca, the name of the indigenous people escapes me right now, because the men of the village decided they would cook one day a week, giving the women a day off. And this is the meal they came up with!!! The soup, by the way, is delicious. Gollee, I should know the name of the people. I have a friend who is from there. It's a remote place, about 6 or 8 hours by bus from Oaxaca. I'll remember the name as soon as I hit "send" probably.
