However, here is a substitute which is always appropriate: ¡Qué bueno! which is probably equivalent to the British: What ho! old chap, but in our slang would be Hey! That's good! The way you say it can be anything from complimentary to sarcastic as when your partner has just sliced into the ocean. Be prepared to pay some expensive green fees although not so damaging as in the USA. (This from a guy who remembers 25 cent fees on 9 hole courses.) Adiós. jerezano
