Our vacation keeps getting postponed. But now it looks like we will be visiting the Xalapa area in July. How wet is July normally? Don't mind some rain, but we would like to be able to get out and about without getting wet. Weatherunderground looks like a good bit of rain for Xalapa right now.

¡Hola, amigos costeños! You are right, we are getting a lot of rain, but that is what keeps this area very green and much cooler than on the coast. I really enjoy Xalapa with this climate since you can use a light jacket in the evening, yet feel very comfortable in shorts during the rest of the day. And of course "Verde, que te quiero verde"..."Green, I love you green!" is what gives me life after the dryness of Colorado where I grew up.
There may or may not be a lot of rain in July...one never knows.

As always, Roy is correct in these matters; but I think it fair that you know that Roy is one of the very few individuals, irrespective of weather, who will be seen wearing shorts in Xalapa.

I'm planning on hanging out in Xalapa this July, and I'm bringing my shorts, just for solidarity with Roy. I do draw the line at birkenstocks and backpacks though.

Hey Roy, anything good happening on the art scene in July?

¿Que tal, amigos costeños? Right now is Junio Musical 2007, the 12th year that almost the whole month of June there are dozens of concerts and art exhibits(http://www.uv.mx/...iomusical/index.html). As far a July, something is always going on, there are many galleries, free concerts every Tuesday at the Casino Jalapeño, as well as at the Centro Recreativo, etc.
