Avoid HWY 105 and 127 (Outside of Tampico)

What ever you do don't decide to get OFF the beaten path onto these 2 Highways. Not if you can avid it. After you hit Panuco on Hwy 105 the road gets VERY ROUGH in long stretches. It would be taxing on ANY vehicle.
On 127 just south of Tantoyuca, you better some really good tires on your vehicle. You will need them. It is Impossible to miss all of the potholes on the road. Even at 10 miles an hour they will jar your bones not to mention the car.
If for some reason you MUST drive these routes then do not even think about doing it at night, or even after a heavy rain (what you think is a small hole could possibly stop your car for a very long time). I would drive at night anywhere, anytime, but NOT on these roads.

Thats the way those roads are this time of year, traditionally. However, in late March, it's delightful, after the rainy season damage has been undone, and the roads repaved.

: What ever you do don't decide to get OFF the beaten path onto these 2 Highways.
