the word "canuto"

I recently saw a secondhand store with the name "Tienda de Segunda Canuto". One of my co-workers got a Yahoo website translation that said "dar el canuto a" means "to give a military discharge". I know that when you attach "dar" to a word or phrase that it it can vastly alter the meaning. In the above store name, what does it mean ? Thank you.

Canuto is a name. Patron saint, Canuto IV King of Denmark, January 19th.

So Tienda de Segunda Canuto is a store that deals with used items, named Canuto; perhaps after its owner.

Saludos de primera,
