I am quite fluent in Spanish and do a lot of volunteer translating from Spanish into English (and vice versa), including some technical/scientific documents. I resisted trying to use a translation program, figuring it would require far too much editing, but when I tried www.translate.google.com, I was very pleasantly surprised. It's remarkably good and saves me quite a bit of time. The problem is that it also eliminates formatting (paragraphs, bolding, titles), so all that has to be re-done during the editing process. I'm curious to see if anyone has had better luck with other programs. I also use a subscriber program, www.diccionarios.com, as an on-line dictionary. It costs about $2.50USD/month and is handy although useless for technical words. Eileen
